History of the Winmau World Masters Tournament

ADO Region 4-4 We will try and hold a regional tournament for The Masters this year on Saturday, February 18, 2012 (site TBD). Due to lack of participation in prior years, we are trying something new. We will only charge players $55. If we have fewer than 16 players, it will be the responsibility of the winner to make up the difference to go onto Nationals. We owe $880 to the ADO. So, if 8 of us show up, we will collect $440 and the winner will be responsible for the other $440. We must have at least 6 people to pre-register (either contact Mary Beth Collins or have your local ADO director contact Mary Beth with the number of players planning on attending). Unfortunately, ADO rules prohibit mixing the male and female players. If we can get at least 6 female players to attend and agree to these rules, then we can send on a female player too. We are trying this one time, to see if it works for the Masters. All other tournaments will be run the same as they have in the past ($110/player). |
Unfortunately, do to lack of participation, the National Qualifier for The Masters was again not held in region 4-4 this year (2012).
