I'd like to compliment those team Captains and Members that take the time to Fax or Scan/Email me their score sheets Monday night right after you finish playing or the first thing on Tuesday morning.  Thank You.  It's great to be able to start working on the Stats around 11 o'clock Monday night and then continue the first thing in the morning.

Faxing and Scanning/Emailing in of your score sheets is not for my benefit.  It doesn't matter to me what day of the week I start working on them.  Faxing or Scanning/Emailing is for the benefit of the League helping to insure that your stats get processed in time for you to take with you on the next night of darts for all of the rest of your team to see.

The quicker I get your sheets the quicker I can begin working on them.  The Post Office is definitely not quick.  Over the past years of doing your stats there have been many times when the Post Office has lost your score sheets or shipped them to someplace else in the United States where they eventually get sent back to me.  In those cases I have had to get in touch with the Captains of the affected teams and request that they send me the backup copies of their score sheets.  Obviously those sheets did not get entered into the stats on the week they were played.

We have available to us a beautiful technology that allows us to communicate FREE because you've already paid for the service when you signed up for Internet access.  The Internet.  That's how we're communicating now.  We didn't have an Internet when the League was formed and mailing in our score sheets to the Statistician was the only option.  Times have changed and we MUST change the way we do things.

I would be happy to have every League member that has Internet access Email me your scores or Fax/Email in your sheets (not just the Captains).  I love to get Email.  Many of you have Fax software on your computers.

I don't care how many duplications of Scores and Faxes and Scanned/Emailed sheets I get.  I'd rather have a lot of duplicate Scores and Score Sheets Faxed and Emailed to me than to sit here and wait and wait and wait and not have the Post Office deliver your score sheets on time.  If I don't have your score sheets I can't enter them into the stats.

I can't hold up the printing and mailing of your stats out to the League just because I'm missing one set of score sheets or somebody's score.  It also causes me to do duplicate work because when your sheets finally arrive here I have to enter those sheets and then update the web site.  I can't correct the stats that have already been mailed to you so they will remain incorrect.

Faxing or Scanning/Emailing in your sheets can save 2 or 3 days in the time it takes to get the stats done.

Please - When you Scan or Fax in your sheets always use the ORIGINAL to scan or fax from, not one of the duplicate copies.  Watch the Fax Machine to see that all the sheets go through properly.  Make sure it doesn't pull 2 or more sheets through the machine at once.  Do not pull out your sheets or turn off the machine until it has finished transmitting the Fax.

If you're playing a team that has nobody on it that has access to a Fax machine or a Scanner/Email PLEASE offer to take their sheets and Fax or Email them for them.

Scanners are dirt cheap nowadays and this would be a real good excuse to go out and buy one.  You'd be surprised at how much stuff you want to scan when you have one.
