On Saturday, September 19, the NODA ADO Cricket All Star
Shoot was held at Airway Lanes. We had 8 men and 3 women participate in
the event. I'd like to thank the following participants at this years'
tournament:
Women:
Carol Dobek, Sue Dykes and Jacquelynn Boughner
Men:
Michael Abbott, Scott "Whoop" Carney, Mike Evans, Steve
Barchus, Mike Boughner, Mike Redmond, Jeremiah Millar and Dan Zetterlund
Special thanks to Dan, Carol, and Mike Redmond for sticking around to chalk the
finals.
With 8 men shooting and 3 women shooting this year, we were able to send 1 man
and 1 woman to the regionals.

Dykes for winning the ADO Cricket
Championship tournament. They will be shooting at the regionals on the
weekend of November 6-8, with a chance to go on to the Nationals in Las Vegas in
January 2010.
In the ladies bracket, Sue Dykes won with 5 points, and Carol Dobek finishing
second with 4 points. Congratulations to Jacquelynn for participating in
her first NODA ADO tournament. We look forward to seeing her at more
events.
On the mens side, everyone shot in the same bracket, allowing everyone to play
everyone else. Of the 8 men, four went to the finals in the afternoon;
Steve B with 13 points, Michael A and Mike E with 14 points each and Jeremiah
Millar with 18 points.
In the finals, it was all Jeremiah Millar, shooting four 9-marks in just 9 games
of the finals (Seven 9-marks total for the day) and winning with 9 out of
9 possible points. In second was Mike Evans with 6 points (also shooting a
9-mark during the day), then Steve Barchus with 3 points, and bringing up the
rear in the finals was Michael Abbott getting shut out.
Currently NODA has 2 players listed in the Regional and National rankings.

The Regional ADO Cricket All Star shoot will be at the Westwood in Grand Rapids
on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Doors open for practice at 10:30 am, sign up is
at 11 am, and start shooting by noon.
